계룡시, 제45회 장애인의 날 기념행사 성료

충남 계룡시가 지난 8일 계룡시민체육관에서 ‘제45회 장애인의 날’을 맞아 기념행사를 열고, 장애인과 시민이 함께 어우러지는 뜻깊은 시간을 가졌다고 9일 밝혔다.

이번 행사는 장애에 대한 인식 개선과 더불어, 장애인의 자립과 사회 참여를 격려하는 의미를 담아 마련됐으며, 지역사회와 장애인이 소통하고 연대하는 자리를 통해 포용의 가치를 실현했다.

(사)충청남도지체장애인협회 계룡시지회(회장 김종일)가 주관한 이날 행사에는 이응우 계룡시장, 김범규 시의회 의장을 비롯해 지역 기관장과 단체 대표, 시민, 장애인 당사자와 가족, 자원봉사자 등 700여 명이 참석해 자리를 빛냈다.

행사는 크게 식전공연과 본행사로 나뉘어 진행됐다. 식전공연에서는 숟가락을 이용한 난타 공연과 가수 정해준의 축하무대가 이어져 관객들의 큰 호응을 받으며 행사 분위기를 고조시켰다.

이어진 본행사에서는 개회 선언과 함께 ‘장애인 인권헌장’이 낭독됐고, 지역 내 장애인 복지 증진에 기여한 개인과 단체에 대한 표창이 수여되며 감사의 마음이 전달됐다. 행사 말미에는 훈훈한 분위기 속에서 참석자들을 위한 경품 추첨도 진행됐다.

이응우 시장은 축사를 통해 “장애인의 날은 단지 기념일을 넘어, 모두가 함께 살아가는 사회를 다시금 돌아보는 날”이라며 “계룡시는 장애인 체육시설 확충과 일자리 확대 등 장애인의 삶의 질 향상을 위한 다양한 정책을 지속적으로 추진하고 있다”고 밝혔다. 이어 “장애인과 비장애인이 더불어 행복한 도시, 계룡을 만드는 데 최선을 다하겠다”고 강조했다.
