충남 계룡시가 추진 중인 ‘계룡역 환승센터’ 조성사업이 최근 행정안전부 주관 ‘2025년도 제1차 지방재정 중앙투자심사’를 통과하며 본격적인 사업 추진에 청신호가 켜졌다.
이번 투자심사 통과로 시는 국비와 도비 등 외부재원을 확보할 수 있는 기반을 마련했으며, 이에 따라 사업 전반의 추진 속도도 빨라질 것으로 기대된다.
계룡역 환승센터는 현재 공사가 진행 중인 충청권 광역철도 1단계 구간과 연계해 조성된다.
사업의 핵심 목표는 환승 수요가 집중될 것으로 예상되는 계룡역 일원에 부족한 주차공간을 확충하고, 인근 대전시, 공주시, 논산시 등과의 대중교통 체계를 유기적으로 연결하는 것이다. 이를 통해 지역 주민은 물론 광역권 이용자들의 이동 편의성이 크게 향상될 것으로 기대된다.
