충남 청양군이 민선 8기 핵심 과제의 원활한 추진을 위해 현장 중심의 행정을 강화하고 있다. 김돈곤 청양군수는 오는 22일까지 지역 주요 사업장 12곳을 차례로 방문해 현안 사업의 추진 상황을 점검하고, 개선책 마련에 나섰다.
이번 현장 방문은 단순한 실태 파악을 넘어, 주요 사업의 진행 현황을 직접 확인하고 관계자들과의 심층적인 논의를 통해 실행력 있는 해결방안을 도출하기 위한 목적으로 진행되고 있다.
김 군수는 지난 8일 충남사회적경제혁신타운과 행복누리센터를 찾아 운영 상황을 살폈고, 이어 9일에는 청양읍 노노케어센터, 정산면 다목적복지관, 청남면 농업근로자 기숙사를 찾아 관련 현안을 점검했다.

현재 해당 사업은 약 60%의 공정률을 보이고 있으며, 올해 안에 칠갑타워, 스카이워크, 수상 엘리베이터, 보행교 및 야간 경관 시설 등이 개방되거나 완공될 예정이다. 수상 캠핑장은 내년 완공을 목표로 하고 있다.
