충남 청양군이 추진 중인 '읍내3·4리 도시재생 뉴딜사업'이 본격적인 궤도에 올랐다.
지역 내 복합 거점시설인 '노노케어센터(가칭)'가 문을 열고 주민 참여 프로그램 운영을 시작하면서, 공동체 중심의 도시재생에 활력을 더하고 있다.
이 사업은 2021년 국토교통부 공모사업에 선정돼 총사업비 143억 원이 투입되는 대규모 프로젝트다. 노후 주택 정비와 골목길 개선, 생활 SOC(사회간접자본) 확충을 통해 지역 주도형 도시재생 모델을 구현하겠다는 청양군의 전략이 반영돼 있다.
지난해 11월 완공된 노노케어센터는 청양읍 읍내3리에 자리한 2층 규모의 복합 공간이다. 올해부터는 지역 주민들의 자발적인 참여를 이끌어내는 다양한 프로그램이 본격적으로 운영되고 있다. 1층에는 누구나 이용할 수 있는 공유주방이 마련됐고, 2층은 교육 및 커뮤니티 활동이 가능한 다목적 공간으로 활용된다.
