충남 금산군이 금산인삼의 세계화를 위한 본격적인 행보에 나섰다. 박범인 금산군수는 지난 22일(현지시간) 미국 뉴욕시에서 열린 ‘금산인삼 홀세일(Wholesale)’ 개관식에 참석해 금산인삼의 우수성과 다양한 제품을 소개하며 글로벌 시장 공략의 포문을 열었다.
이번 행사는 뉴욕 한인기업인 리버티 그룹이 주도해 마련한 것으로, 금산인삼의 홍보 및 판매를 전담할 공간이자 현지 진출의 교두보 역할을 하게 된다. 개관식에는 김기윤 금산군의회 의장, 존 리우 뉴욕주 상원의원을 비롯해 뉴욕한인회, 퀸즈한인회 관계자 등 150여 명이 참석해 자리를 빛냈다.
행사 중 상영된 홍보 영상은 금산인삼의 전통과 효능, 그리고 다양한 활용법을 알리는 데 중점을 뒀으며, 현지 참석자들의 높은 관심을 끌어냈다.
