23일 오후 3시 57분께 전북 고창군 고수면 와촌리 상하수도 관로 정비를 위해 땅을 파던 A씨(40대)가 흙더미에 매몰되는 사고가 발생했다.
신고를 받고 출동한 119 구조대는 상황을 확인한 뒤 30분 가량의 작업 끝에 호흡은 있었지만, 의식이 없는 상태로 매몰된 A씨를 구조해 인근 병원으로 이송했다.
A씨는 인근 병원에서 1차 처치를 받은 뒤 외상센터로 추가 이송돼 치료를 받고 있으나 생명에는 지장이 없는 것으로 알려졌다.
