당진시(시장 오성환)가 상수도 급수공사 민원 처리 과정에서 발생하던 시민들의 불편을 줄이기 위해 단순 급수공사의 도로점용허가 절차를 생략하는 혁신적인 행정 개선안을 25일 발표했다.
이번 조치는 기존에 급수공사를 신청할 때마다 반드시 받아야 했던 도로점용허가 절차를 없애고, 관련 부서 간 사전 협의를 통해 신속한 공사 추진이 가능하도록 한 것이다.
그동안 시민들이 급수공사를 신청하면 별도의 도로점용허가를 받는 과정에서 설계비용이 추가되고 민원 처리 기간이 길어지는 문제점이 있었다. 특히 일반 시민들은 복잡한 절차를 직접 수행하기 어려워 급수 공사가 지연되는 사례가 잦았다. 이러한 불편은 시민들의 일상생활에 큰 영향을 미쳤으며, 행정에 대한 불만으로도 이어졌다.
