충남 논산시가 복지의 사각지대에 놓인 위기청소년을 조기에 발견하고 맞춤형 지원을 제공하기 위해 ‘위기청소년 특별지원 사업’을 본격 추진한다고 28일 밝혔다.
이번 지원은 만 9세부터 24세까지의 청소년 가운데 보호자가 부재하거나 보호가 실질적으로 이루어지지 않는 경우를 대상으로 하며, 가구 소득이 기준 중위소득 100% 이하인 경우 신청할 수 있다. 지원 항목은 생활비, 의료비, 학업 지원, 자립 준비, 심리 상담, 법률 서비스, 사회활동 등 청소년의 다양한 삶의 영역을 포괄한다.
신청은 청소년 주소지 관할 읍·면·동 행정복지센터를 방문하거나, 복지로 누리집을 통해 비대면으로도 가능하다.
특히 시는 청소년상담복지센터, 학교, 보호관찰소 등 다양한 기관과의 긴밀한 협력을 통해 위기청소년을 적극 발굴하고 있으며, 발견된 청소년에게는 사례관리를 통해 실질적이고 지속적인 지원을 이어갈 방침이다.
시 관계자는 “위기청소년은 단순히 복지적 지원만 필요한 대상이 아니라, 지역사회의 소중한 일원”이라며 “이들이 건강하게 성장할 수 있도록 더욱 촘촘한 사회안전망을 구축해 나가겠다”고 강조했다.
한편 논산시는 작년까 총 33명의 위기청소년을 지원했으며, 올해는 대상자를 더욱 확대하고 다양한 사례관리를 병행해 실효성 있는 지원을 추진할 계획이다.
