6.3 대통령 선거를 앞두고 호남의 유권자 표심(票心)이 쪼개지고 있다. 더불어민주당 이재명 후보 지지세력과 호남출신 정치인인 이낙연 전 총리-한덕수 대통령 권한대행의 대통령 출마 움직임에 따라 이들을 지지하는 세력으로 분화(分化)하는 과정을 거치고 있다.
이낙연 전 총리의 대선출마 움직임이 현실화되지 더불어민주당측 의원들은 이낙연 전 총리를 비판하기 시작했다. 이에 반하여, 이낙연 전 총리를 옹호하는 목소리도 높아졌다. 이런 현상은 페이스북을 통해 가시화 됐다.

이낙연 전 총리는 지난 4월25일 페이스북 올린 글에서 이재명 후보를 우회적으로 비판했다. 이 글에서 “오늘 4월 25일은 '법의 날'입니다. 예전에는 일반인들이 그냥 지나쳤던 날입니다. 그러나 이번에는 그럴 수 없습니다. 새삼스럽게도 대한민국의 법, 그리고 법치주의를 다시 생각하게 됩니다. 그것은 법과 법치주의가 위기에 놓였기 때문일 것입니다”고 전제하고 “그러나 불행하게도 지금 대한민국은 법치주의가 건강하다는 믿음을 국민께 드리지 못하고 있습니다. 법을 만드는 사람들, 법으로 사는 사람들, 법을 아는 사람들이 법치주의를 흔들고 있습니다. 특히 정치가 법치주의를 희롱하곤 합니다. 그 결과는 참혹하게 나타납니다. 착한 사람은 법 없이 살지만, 나쁜 사람은 법망을 피해 다닙니다.”고 지적했다.
전남 출신 의원인 김원이 의원은 반 이재명 노선을 보이고 있는 이낙연 전 총리를 호되게 비판했다. 그는 “이낙연 전 총리님, 전 민주당 당대표님, 전 전남 도지사님, 전 민주당 의원님, 당신 말씀대로 당신은 김대중 전 대통령이 발굴하고, 민주당이 키운 사람 아닙니까? 내란동조정당 국민의힘, 내란우두머리 윤석열의 아바타 한덕수와 빅텐트라니요? 제정신인가요?”라고 따지고 “당신을 키운 전남 도민들에 대한 애정이 조금이라도 남아 있다면, 우리 호남의 자존심을 조금이라도 생각한다면, 그냥 남은 여생 조용히 살아가셨으면 좋겠습니다.”고 피력했다.
이에 대해 새미래민주당 남평오 사무총장은 “신정훈, 진성준, 김원이, 박홍근, 손금주 의원님 그리고 강기정시장님! 이병훈 형님! 어느 시절까지 기대하고 신뢰하고 존경했던 분들입니다. 어제 의원님들께서 올리신 이낙연 총리에 대한 공격적인 글들을 보았습니다. 한편으로 참담하고 한편으로는 다시 신뢰가 회복되기를 기대하면서 몇 가지 말씀드립니다.”고 강조하면서 “첫째, 세력이 큰 걸 믿고 나라 거덜 낼 정치하지 마셔요! 의원님들이 하는 말 나라걱정에서 나온 말이라면 백번 새기겠습니다만 제가 보기에는 이재명에게 오직 충성하기 위해 아첨하는 내용 말고 무슨 내용이 있습니까! 그리고 윤석열이 비상계엄의 주범이면 그 유발자는 민주당이라는 것은 헌재결정문에도 나와 있습니다. 반성부터 하시면 좋겠습니다”고 비판했다. 이어 “ 호남정치 전통과 가치를 허물지도 말아야합니다. 한때 호남정치는 늘 영남과 다른 지역보다 민주적이다 진보적이다라고 생각하면서 포용하는 것을 고민했습니다. 그래서 그런 영남지도자 둘을 대통령으로 만들었습니다. 그런데 말입니다. 하필 영남지도자 중 왜 범죄수괴에게 호남의 영혼을 팝니까?”라고 꼬집었다. 그는 “왜 이재명은 안되냐고요? 그걸 지난3년을 보고 묻습니까? 거짓말, 사기, 방탄, 왜곡, 특검, 탄핵, 정치보복 온갖 협잡정치로 언론과 방송 그리고 민주당을 장악하고선 국가를 말아먹으려는 괴수를 그냥 놔두라는 것은 정치의 본분을 잊은 것입니다.”고 덧붙였다.
전병헌 새미래민주당 대표는 “이낙연 총리 비판을 아부 기회로 쓰는 민주당. 비판받아야 하는 것은 자신들이다”고 직격탄을 날렸다. 전병헌 대표는 “호남에서는 이이제이(以李制李, 이낙연이 이재명을 제압한다)나 이민제민(以民制民, 새미래민주당이 더불어민주당을 이긴다)이라는 말까지 등장하고 있다고 한다. 최근 이낙연 출마와 한덕수 대행과의 연대 가능성이 거론되자, 친명, 비명을 가리지 않고 이재명에 대한 아부 경쟁이 벌어지고 있다.“면서 ”이런 움직임을 보면 자발적인 대응이라기보다, 수령님의 지시를 받은 기획 공작 같다는 냄새가 짙다. 다양성을 말살하고, 반민주적 리더십이 들어선 민주당 안에서 줄서기 경쟁을 하는 것은 결국 자기 양심과 상식에 반하는 것“이라고 강조했다.
