브레이크뉴스 정명훈 기자= 이재명 더불어민주당 대선 후보는 30일 근로시간 자체를 줄이는 '주 4.5일제'을 거쳐 장기적으로 '주 4일제'를 지향하겠다고 공약했다.
이재명 후보는 이날 자신의 페이스북을 통해 "산업화와 민주화를 거치며 눈부신 성취를 이룬 대한민국은 이제 국민 한 사람 한 사람의 '삶의 질'을 챙기는 더 높은 단계로 도약해야 한다"며 이같은 내용을 밝혔다.
그는 "AI(인공지능)의 등장으로 단순하고 반복적인 업무는 기계가 맡고 사람은 창의성과 부가가치를 창출하는 일에 더욱 집중하게 될 것"이라며 "새로운 시대에 ‘사람’의 가치를 높이기 위해서는 무엇보다 충분한 휴식과 재충전이 필수"라고 강조했다.
이를 위해 ▲평균 노동시간을 2030년까지 OECD 평균 이하로 단축 ▲주 4.5일제 도입 기업 대상 지원 방안 마련 및 장기적 '주4일제' 지향, ▲미사용 연차·휴가 저축 및 3년 내 사용, ▲연차유급휴가 취득 요건 완화 등을 제시했다.
이 후보는 또한 "장시간 노동과 ‘공짜 노동’의 원인으로 지목돼 온 포괄임금제도 근본적으로 검토하겠다"면서 "이 과정에서 기존의 임금 등 근로조건이 나빠지지 않도록 철저하게 보완하고 사용자에게는 근로자의 실근로시간을 측정·기록하도록 의무화하겠다"고 말했다.
이 후보는 아울러 "근로자 본인과 가족 중 미성년 자녀, 65세 이상 노부모를 위해 지출한 통신비는 최소한 필요 수준에서의 세액공제 개선을 검토하겠다"며 "자녀 수에 따라 신용카드 공제율과 공제 한도 상향을 추진하고 자녀세액 공제 확대 등을 추진하겠다"고 약속했다.
그러면서 "열심히 일한 뒤 충분한 휴식과 여가를 누릴 수 있고 이를 가능케 하는 경제적 기반이 마련된 삶, 내일이 기대되는 삶, 그런 진짜 대한민국을 저 이재명이 만들겠다"고 덧붙였다.
