브레이크뉴스 정명훈 기자= 7일 김문수 국민의힘 대선후보가 한덕수 무소속 후보를 만날 예정인 가운데, 우리공화당은 보수 단일화 조건으로 내각제 개헌 반대 명문화해야 한다고 강조했다.
조원진 우리공화당 대표는 7일 보도자료를 내고 “한덕수 후보는 개헌연대를 외치고 있는데, 내각제를 주장하는 사람들과 다수 만나고 있고, ‘거국통합내각제’를 언급한 적이 있다”면서 “김문수 후보와 한덕수 후보의 단일화 조건은 반드시 내각제 개헌 반대가 명문화되어야 한다. 야권세력과의 연정과 내각제를 생각하는 후보와는 결코 단일화를 할 수가 없다”고 강조했다.
그는 “김문수 후보의 장점은 바로 서민과 중도층에 어필하면서 이재명과의 선명성 경쟁에서 확실한 우위에 있다는 점이며 이미 전당대회를 통해 검증을 마쳤다. 또한 자유민주주의체제 수호 연대를 통해 체제전쟁에서 승리할 수 있는 후보”라면서 “국민의힘 지도부가 해야 할 일은 김문수 후보 지지를 공개적으로 선언하고 경선에 참여했던 후보자들과의 단합을 이끌어 내고 큰 틀의 자유민주주의체제 수호 연대를 구축하는 일”이라고 말했다.
조원진 대표는 또한 “국민의힘의 이른바 쌍권(권영세, 권성동)이 내부 총질을 하면서 김문수 후보를 푸대접하는 것도 모자라 완전히 찬밥 신세로 만들었다. 오히려 쌍권이 후보 단일화에서 한덕수 무소속 후보에게 줄을 선 모양새”라면서 “국민의힘 쌍권은 더 이상 한덕수 후보 측 입장을 대변하지 말고 일선에서 물러나야 하는게 맞다. 쌍권은 단일화에 절대 개입해서는 안 된다”고 말했다.
