브레이크뉴스 정명훈 기자= 9일 김문수 국민의힘 대선후보 캠프는 홍준표 전 대구시장이 상임선대위원장직을 수락했다고 공지했으나, 홍 전 시장은 "맡긴 뭘 맡느냐"며 언론공지 내용을 부인했다.
홍준표 전 시장은 이날 복수의 언론과의 통화에서 "나는 정계은퇴하고 탈당까지 했는데 뭘 맡는다는 거냐"면서 "나는 예정대로 내일 미국으로 출국한다. 대선 후 돌아오겠다"고 밝혔다.
이어 "김문수 후보가 전화로 상임선대위원장직을 맡아달라고 제안했지만 내가 하기 어렵다고 말했다"면서 "오죽 답답했으면 내게 그렇게 제안했겠나"라고 했다.
