(남양주=브레이크뉴스 경기동북부)하인규 기자=남양주시의회(의장 조성대)는 지난 9일 남양주시의회 소회의실에서 의원 연구단체인‘남양주시 청소년 정책 연구모임’의 용역 착수보고회를 개최했다.

이번 연구용역은 남양주시 청소년을 둘러싼 정책환경 분석을 통해 청소년의 삶의 질 향상과 미래 역량 강화를 위한 정책 방향을 모색하고, 남양주시 청소년 정책을 보완할 수 있는 개선방안 제시와 새로운 정책 사업 발굴을 통한 실효성 있는 청소년 정책을 수립하기 위해 추진됐다.

이날 착수보고회는 대표의원인 전혜연 의원을 비롯한 연구단체 소속 의원들과 용역 수행사 연구원 등이 참석한 가운데 진행됐으며, △남양주시 청소년정책 일반현황 검토 △유사사례 조사 및 관계법령 검토 △청소년 및 학부모 수요정책 조사 △청소년 정책 문제점 분석 및 개선방안 도출 등 앞으로의 연구 내용과 방향에 대한 논의가 이뤄졌다.

참석한 의원들은 “청소년의 기준이나 범위가 개별법에 따라 차이가 있으므로 나이대별 경계도 감안하여 용역을 추진해야 한다”고 요구하며, “타시군이나 집행부에서 일반적으로 추진하는 용역과는 달리 기존 틀을 벗어난 접근을 해야 효과적인 정책으로 연결될 수 있을 것”이라고 말했다.

전혜연 의원은 “오늘 착수보고회를 시작으로 5개월 간 지역구별 필요한 청소년 정책을 적극 발굴하고 선배, 동료 의원님들의 정책연구에 활용할 수 있는 유의미한 결과가 도출될 수 있도록 최선을 다하겠다”고 밝혔다.
