형제애가 깊지만 말로 표현하기엔 아직 서툰 두 소년. 각기 다른 그룹홈에서 지내는 이들에게 바인그룹이 따뜻한 연결고리가 되어주고 있다.
청소년 후원활동을 이어오고 있는 바인그룹(회장 김영철)은 12일, KBS1 시사다큐 프로그램 ‘동행’에 출연한 형제에게 수학 학습을 지원했다고 밝혔다. 이번 후원은 바인그룹의 26번째 ‘동행’ 지원 사례로, 2025년 1월 11일 방영된 489회 <형제의 특별한 보금자리> 편에 등장한 원빈, 한빈 군이 그 주인공이다.
두 형제는 어린 시절, 부모의 돌봄이 어려워 할머니와 함께 살았지만, 할머니의 건강이 악화되며 각자의 그룹홈으로 흩어져 지내게 됐다. 형 원빈 군은 이미 6년 전 그룹홈에 입소해 적응해 있었고, 동생 한빈 군은 최근 중학교 입학과 함께 새로운 환경에 들어섰다.
함께 있고 싶지만, 떨어져 지낸 시간만큼 가까워지기 어려운 두 소년은 우애는 깊지만 표현에는 서툴다. 형은 동생에 대한 책임감을 느끼고, 동생은 형에게 기대고 싶지만 어색함이 먼저 앞선다.
이런 형제에게 바인그룹은 ‘함께 성장할 기회’를 마련해주었다. 계열사인 코칭교육 전문기업 상상코칭을 통해 수학 교육을 후원한 것이다. 특히 온라인 수업으로 시간과 공간의 제약 없이 학습할 수 있어 형제 모두 긍정적인 반응을 보였다.
상상코칭 김민서 코치는 “아이들이 더 나은 방향으로 성장할 수 있도록 최선을 다하겠다”며 진심 어린 소감을 전했다. 형제 역시 “수업 녹화도 할 수 있고, 어려워서 싫었던 수학이 다시 재미있어질 것 같다”며 기대감을 밝혔다.
이들의 학습 지원 사연은 지난 5월 10일 방송된 ‘동행’ 505회를 통해 시청자들과도 공유됐다.
한편 바인그룹은 2021년부터 ‘동행’ 출연 청소년들에게 학습 및 자기성장 프로그램을 꾸준히 후원해왔다. 리더십과 인성 함양을 돕는 교육, 진로 코칭 등 다양한 방식으로 청소년들이 스스로의 미래를 설계할 수 있도록 돕는 활동을 이어가고 있다.

Vine Group (Chairman Kim Young-chul), known for its ongoing support of youth featured on KBS1’s documentary program Companion, announced on May 12 that it has provided math tutoring for two brothers living separately in youth group homes.
This marks the 26th instance of such support, focusing on brothers Wonbin and Hanbin, who appeared in episode 489 of Companion, titled A Special Haven for Brothers, which aired on January 11, 2025.
Love without Words—Support Beyond Distance
Due to their parents’ inability to care for them, Hanbin initially lived with his grandmother. However, after her health deteriorated, he entered a youth group home. His older brother, Wonbin, had already been in a group home for six years. Though the two maintain a strong bond, the years apart have made emotional closeness a challenge.
To support their academic growth, Vine Group provided tailored math education through its coaching affiliate, Sangsang Coaching. With virtual classes enabling flexibility in time and location, both brothers found the new format helpful and motivating.
