이날 심사위원회에는 심사위원 9명이 참석한 가운데 모범선행, 반다비, 학력향상, 문화예술, 체육진흥, 글로벌리더, 다누리 등 총 7개 부문별 수상 대상자에 대한 심의를 완료했다. 특히, 올해 심사에서는 장애 청소년 및 다문화가정 청소년을 대상으로 하는 반다비 부문과 다누리 부문이 신설되어 심사가 이뤄졌다.
심의 결과, 초등 및 중등부와 고등 및 일반부로 나누어 7개 부문에서 후보자 21명 중 14명이 최종 선정됐다. 각 표창은 2025년 5월 31일 청소년의 날 행사에서 수여할 계획이다.
한편, 동두천시 청소년상 심사위원회는 「청소년기본법」 제60조(포상) 및 「동두천시 청소년상 조례」에 따라 모범 청소년 표창에 대한 심의를 담당하고 있다. 앞으로도 청소년이 건강한 사회 구성원으로 성장할 수 있도록 수상자 발굴과 선정을 지속해 나갈 예정이다.
