경주시는 20일 경주화백컨벤션센터(HICO)에서 경상북도, 대한병원협회, 그리고 전국 24개 협력병원과 함께 '2025 APEC 정상회의 협력병원 업무협약'을 체결했다고 밝혔다.
이날 협약식에는 주낙영 경주시장, 이철우 경북도지사를 비롯해 대한병원협회 관계자와 각 병원장 등 40여 명이 참석했다. 행사는 APEC 추진 경과 보고, 협약 체결, 전담 의료진 위촉, 전자서명 퍼포먼스 순으로 진행됐다.
APEC 의료지원 협력병원은 경주 및 인근 지역의 300병상 이상 종합병원, 대구·울산 지역 상급종합병원, 권역응급의료센터 중 거리, 시설, 의료 역량 등을 종합적으로 고려해 선정됐다. 이들 병원은 정상회의 기간 동안 응급환자 진료와 현장 진료소 운영 등 전반적인 의료 지원에 협력할 예정이다. 또한, 의료 위기 상황 발생 시 국가 차원의 신속하고 체계적인 대응 체계 구축에 크게 기여할 것으로 기대된다.
