(양주=브레이크뉴스 경기동북부)하인규 기자=양주시가 21일 ‘양주시사회적경제지원센터’에서 ‘2025년 양주시 공정무역 활동가 양성 과정’ 수료식을 개최했다고 밝혔다.
이날 수료식에는 교육 수료생 및 양주시 일자리경제과 관계자 등 20여 명이 참석했다.
이번 양성 과정은 공정무역에 대한 올바른 이해와 윤리적 소비문화 확산을 위해 마련된 교육 프로그램으로 지난 4월부터 총 6회에 걸쳐 진행됐으며 총 10명의 활동가를 배출했다.
교육 수료생들은 공정무역 활동가가 되어 ▲공정무역 홍보 캠페인, ▲찾아가는 공정무역 교육, ▲공정무역 축제(포트나잇), ▲공정무역 티파티(성과공유회) 등의 활동을 함께 진행할 예정이다.
한 수료생은 “단순한 교육을 넘어 지속 가능한 세상을 만드는 여정에 동참할 수 있는 소중한 첫걸음이 되었다”며 “개개인이 내딛는 실천이 세상을 바꾼다는 것을 잊지 않고 함께 걸어가면 좋겠다”고 말했다.
정미순 일자리경제과장은 “이번 과정을 통해 배출된 활동가들이 양주시 전역에 공정무역의 가치를 널리 알릴 것으로 기대한다”며 “윤리적 소비문화 확산에도 큰 역할을 해주시길 당부드린다”고 말했다.
