거창군이 2024-2025년 겨울철 복지위기가구 발굴 및 지원에 대한 공로를 인정받아 보건복지부 장관 표창을 수상하는 영예를 안았다.
이번 표창은 지난해 11월부터 올해 3월까지 겨울철 취약계층 보호를 위해 적극적으로 노력한 우수 지자체를 선정해 표창하고, 우수사례를 전국적으로 확산시키기 위해 마련된 것으로, 보건복지부는 겨울철 복지사각지대 발굴과 지원 실적, 지자체 자체발굴 노력, 민관협력도 등을 종합적으로 고려해 전국 226개 기초 지방자치단체 중 총 23개 지자체를 선발해 표창을 수여했다.
