우미희망재단이 전몰·순직군경 유가족의 심리 및 정서 회복을 지원하는 '히어로즈 패밀리 힐링캠프'를 성공적으로 개최했다.
올해로 3회째를 맞이한 이번 캠프는 지난 5월 23일부터 2박 3일간 부산 '아난티 앳 코브'에서 열렸으며, 전국 19개 가정 50여 명이 참여해 뜻깊은 시간을 가졌다. 캠프 첫날에는 강정애 국가보훈처장이 직접 참석하여 유가족들을 격려했다.
'히어로즈 패밀리 힐링캠프'는 국가를 위해 헌신한 영웅들의 가족에게 위로를 전하고, 이들의 심리·정서적 회복을 돕기 위한 프로그램이다.
이번 캠프는 특히 치유 효과의 지속성과 공동체 회복에 중점을 두고 참가자별 맞춤형 프로그램을 제공했다. 부모를 위한 '마음돌봄 테라피', 자녀를 위한 '달콤한 감사', 그리고 가족이 함께하는 '우리 가족 버킷리스트 만들기' 등 세분화된 프로그램들이 높은 참여율과 만족도를 이끌어냈다.
이번 힐링캠프는 우미희망재단이 국가보훈부, 초록우산 등 3개 기관과 협력하여 2022년부터 운영 중인 '히어로즈 패밀리 프로그램'의 일환이다. 이 프로그램은 전몰·순직군경 유가족의 일상 회복과 자녀의 정서 안정 및 진로 성장을 지원하며, 만 19세 이하 미성년 자녀를 둔 75가구 약 200명에게 매년 6억 원 규모의 맞춤형 지원을 제공하고 있다.
이춘석 우미희망재단 사무국장은 "히어로즈 패밀리 프로그램이 유가족들에게 치유와 회복의 기회를 제공하고 교류와 연대의 중심 역할을 할 수 있도록 더욱 다양한 사업을 이어가겠다"고 밝혔다.

The Woongjin Hope Foundation has successfully hosted the 'Heroes Family Healing Camp,' a program designed to support the psychological and emotional recovery of bereaved families of fallen and deceased military personnel and police officers. Marking its third anniversary, this year's camp took place from May 23rd for two nights and three days at 'Ananti at Cove' in Busan, with over 50 participants from 19 families nationwide experiencing meaningful time together. On the first day of the camp, Minister Kang Jung-ae of the Ministry of Patriots and Veterans Affairs personally attended to encourage the families.
The 'Heroes Family Healing Camp' is a program dedicated to offering solace and supporting the psychological and emotional recovery of the families of heroes who sacrificed for the nation. This year's camp specifically emphasized the sustainability of healing effects and community recovery, providing tailored programs for each participant. Detailed activities like 'Mind Care Therapy' for parents, 'Sweet Gratitude' for children, and 'Creating Our Family Bucket List' for all family members led to high participation and satisfaction rates.
This healing camp is part of the 'Heroes Family Program,' which the Woongjin Hope Foundation has been operating since 2022 in collaboration with three organizations: the Ministry of Patriots and Veterans Affairs, and Green Umbrella Children's Foundation. This program supports the daily recovery of bereaved families and the emotional stability and career growth of their children, providing annual customized support of approximately ₩600 million to 75 families with minor children aged 19 or younger, totaling around 200 individuals.
Lee Chun-seok, Secretary-General of the Woongjin Hope Foundation, stated, "We will continue to pursue a wider range of initiatives to ensure that the Heroes Family Program provides opportunities for healing and recovery for the bereaved families of fallen and deceased veterans and serves as a central point for interaction and solidarity."
