브레이크뉴스 정명훈 기자= 이준석 개혁신당 대선 후보는 3일 "국민의 손으로 이 싸움에 마침표를 찍어주셔야 할 시간"이라고 호소했다.
이준석 후보는 이날 자신의 페이스북을 통해 "이번 선거운동은 명량해전과 같았다. 자금도, 조직도, 언론의 지원도 없이 시작했지만 상식과 희망, 그리고 국민의 손으로 여기까지 왔다"며 이같이 밝혔다.
그는 "많은 여의도 떠벌이들은 말했다. 단일화할 거라고, 포기할 거라고, 결국 선거를 접을 거라고. 하지만 우리는 국민과 약속을 끝까지 지켰고, 대통령 선거를 당당히 완주했다"면서 "그 자체로 우리는 새로운 역사를 썼다. 개혁신당은 이제 '말뿐인 신당'이 아니라, 실제로 큰 선거를 치러낼 역량과 결기를 갖춘 정당임을 증명했다"고 강조했다.
이어 "지금의 국민의힘은 이미 본질을 잃었다"라며 "윤석열 황교안 전광훈 연합세력, 비상계엄과 부정선거를 외치는 극우 정치의 중심이 된 그곳은 더 이상 보수도 아니고, 정당도 아니다"고 비판했다.
그는 또한 "그들은 민주당과 싸울 의지도, 이길 전략도 없다. 그저 적게 지는 것만을 목표로 삼으며, 오직 공천권과 당권만을 탐할 뿐"이라며 "그래서 우리는 떠났고, 그래서 우리는 완주했다. 그리고 이제 국민의 손으로 이 싸움에 마침표를 찍어주셔야 할 시간"이라고 말했다.
