[브레이크뉴스=양영석 기자] 김해시는 5일 김해 대동생태체육공원에서 시민 1,000여명이 참여한 가운데 ‘2025년 환경의 날 및 낙동강의 날 통합 기념행사’를 성황리에 마무리했다고 밝혔다.
이번 행사는 ‘기후변화시대, 낙동강과 함께하는 복지·동행·희망’을 주제로 김해시와 경남도, 경남도교육청이 공동 주최해 환경교육, 전시, 체험, 공연이 어우러진 다채로운 프로그램으로 구성됐다.
어린이합창단 ‘소리향기예술단’의 환경동요로 문을 열었으며 경남도의 ‘플라스틱 오염 종식’ 영상을 비롯해 환경보전에 공헌한 유공자 포상, 희망의 낙동강 다짐 및 퍼포먼스 순으로 이어졌다.
특히 이번 행사는 올해 세계 환경의 날 주제인 ‘플라스틱 오염 종식’에 걸맞게 탄소중립도시 김해를 실현하기 위한 실질적인 실천 프로그램이 돋보였다. 행사장에 다회용컵 음수대를 설치하고 행사 홍보물과 부스 현수막 모두 친환경 소재로 제작했다.
텀블러를 지참한 시민에게는 무료 커피를 제공하고 페트병과 병뚜껑, 폐건전지 등 재활용품을 제출하면 업사이클링 기념품으로 교환해주는 친환경 이벤트도 큰 호응을 얻었다.
