브레이크뉴스 정민우 기자= 한국마사회가 말산업 현장의 환경 리스크 완화를 위해 말산업체를 대상으로 ‘깨끗한 축산농장’ 인증 제도 취득 지원사업을 추진한다.
‘깨끗한 축산농장’ 인증 제도는 농림축산식품부와 축산환경관리원이 주관하는 친환경 인증 제도로, 축사, 경관, 방목지, 분뇨 처리 등 환경 관리가 우수한 곳을 친환경 목장으로 지정하는 제도다.
이번 지원사업의 신청 자격은 말 생산농가 또는 승마시설로, 사업체 소재지가 군·읍·면·리 등 농어촌 지역이어야 한다. 선정된 말산업체는 하반기부터 한국마사회로부터 현장 방문을 통해 친환경 컨설팅과 ‘깨끗한 축산농장’ 인증 취득에 필요한 방역물품 등을 지원받게 된다.

한국마사회는 올해 지원 대상을 내륙 지역 생산 농가뿐만 아니라 승마시설까지 확대해 말산업 전반의 환경 리스크를 줄여 나갈 계획이다. 축산환경관리원은 축산농장의 자발적인 친환경 관리 노력을 장려하며, 인증 농장을 1만호까지 확대해 나간다는 목표를 세웠다.
