이 날 정 의원은 국회 소통관에서 기자회견을 통해 이같이 밝히며, “지난 대선의 시대정신은 내란종식, 정권교체, 민주정부 수립이었다. 정권은 교체되었고 이재명 민주정부가 수립되었다. 이제 남은 시대적 과제는 조속한 내란종식과 이재명 정부의 성공이다”며, “예전에도 그랬듯이 정청래가 당대표가 되어 그 임무를 완성하겠다”고 밝혔다.
