(브레이크뉴스인천 박상도 기자) 부평구가 지난 23일 구청에서 ‘아동학대 예방 증강현실(AR) 교육자료 지원사업’ 추진을 위해 지엠한마음재단코리아, 인천북부아동보호전문기관, 부평경찰서와 4자 업무 협약을 체결했다고 밝혔다.
부평구에 따르면, ‘아동학대예방 AR 교육자료 지원사업’은 지역 내 미취학 아동과 초등학교 저학년 아동을 대상으로 증강현실(AR) 기술을 접목한 교구를 활용해 아동 눈높이에 맞춘 아동학대예방 교육을 하고자 마련됐다.
협약에 따라 구는 교육기관과 아동복지 관련 시설 등을 중심으로 해당 사업의 홍보 활동을 지원하며, 지엠한마음재단코리아에서는 사업비를 후원한다.
이어 인천북부아동보호전문기관은 사업을 기획하고 콘텐츠를 개발하며, 부평경찰서는 지역 내 사업 홍보를 협조할 예정이다.
4곳은 이번 협약을 통해 지역 내 민관 협력 체계를 구축하며, 이후에도 아동학대 예방 및 아동 권리 증진을 위한 다양한 사업을 함께할 계획이다.
차준택 구청장은 “이번 협약을 통해 지역사회 내 아동 학대를 예방하고 아동의 권리를 증진할 수 있는 모범적인 협력사업이 될 것으로 기대한다”며 “앞으로도 아동들이 건강하고 안전하게 자랄 수 있는 환경 조성에 최선을 다하겠다”고 말했다.
한편, 부평구는 지난 2023년 부평경찰서에서 제작한 그림책 ‘우리집 막내오리 이야기’를 활용해 지난해 어린이집과 지역아동센터를 대상으로 구연동화 교육 및 영상을 제작한 바 있다.
이어 올해에는 구연동화 영상을 전국에 배포하고 다국어 번역 자막을 추가 제작·배포했다.
