Amid the Ministry of Government Administration and Home Affairs' indifference, the 'General Assembly of Delegates for the Organization of the Executives of the Korean Administrative Society' was 'held and suspended', creating a 'fight between the chairman and auditors'
On the 25th at 2 PM, the 'General Assembly of Delegates for the Organization of the Executives of the Korean Administrative Society' was forced through, and all three auditors requested the suspension of the general assembly in response to the members' voices
[Break News = Reporter Kim Wan-young] Since the inauguration of the third-term chairman, Yoon Seung-gyu, on the 10th, the Korean Administrative Society has been criticized by members for its lack of sophistication in its operations.
In particular, despite the existence of the existing Personnel Committee for the purpose of reviewing the composition of the third-term executives, the third-term Personnel Committee members were almost entirely reorganized with executives on the same day, citing the bizarre and absurd reason that there were legal problems with the second-term Personnel Committee, and passed it in a flash on the same day.
Chairman Yoon declared that he would push ahead with the general meeting of delegates at 2:00 PM today, the 25th, as originally announced, while all three auditors of the Board of Audit and Inspection officially requested on the 24th to "postpone the general meeting of delegates to resolve the appointment of vice-chairmen and directors," and amidst tension and distrust between both sides, the administrative system division of the Ministry of the Interior and Safety, the supervisory agency, has remained indifferent.
According to Auditor S of the Board of Audit and Inspection, "If we push ahead, we will report to the competent authority and the general meeting of members, and we can consider follow-up measures as well as an injunction to suspend the effect based on the resolution. We will discipline the chairman based on the approval of the members."
In response, regular member A said, "I was surprised to see the recent recruitment notice for the standing committee. The standing committee is currently operating normally and each member is guaranteed a two-year term, but ignoring this and re-recruiting is an act of ignoring the members. Isn't this an attempt to erase the traces of the second term?" Another regular member, Mr. B, said, "The personnel committee members of this personnel committee are filled with executives who are subject to evaluation, and there is controversy over self-evaluation. When did our organization become such a weak organization when they say, 'Personnel is everything, but the first step should be done well'?" and urged the delegates to vote correctly.
Furthermore, one auditor said that Chairman Yoon told the auditors, "Auditing is not an essential organization," and expressed his anger, saying, "This is an act of ignoring the auditors from the first work of the third term."
Meanwhile, attention is being paid to whether an official from the Ministry of the Interior and Safety will attend the inauguration ceremony after the general meeting of delegates today and give a congratulatory speech.
[Rebuttal]
The Korean Administrative Society states the following regarding the Break News articles and contributions published on June 25 and 27, 2025:
The 37th Personnel Committee was duly organized in accordance with the Articles of Incorporation and related regulations, and the re-recruitment of the Standing Committee was a reasonable measure to supplement the lack of harmony in the organization.
In addition, the General Assembly of Delegates was lawfully convened in accordance with the official notice, and all three auditors were present, and the General Assembly of Delegates was held smoothly without major disagreements. Although we fully respect the opinions of some auditors regarding the holding of the General Assembly of Delegates, there is no legal binding force that can restrict the holding of the meeting.
Therefore, expressions such as ‘self-examination,’ ‘pre-modern personnel,’ ‘forcing the General Assembly,’ and ‘ignoring the audit’ in the report are misleading or exaggerated interpretations of the facts, and have caused serious damage to the Association, its reputation, and the trust of its members.
Our association will continue to conduct its affairs based on the member-centered operating principles and institutional legitimacy, and we expect fair and balanced media reporting.
