[브레이크뉴스=양영석 기자] 김해시는 26일 오후 시청 대회의실에서 ‘시민과 함께 만드는 지속가능한 김해시 먹거리 미래’를 주제로 2025 김해시 먹거리정책 포럼을 개최했다.
이번 포럼은 민관 협치를 통한 먹거리 정책 추진 기반을 강화하고 2026년부터 2030년까지 제2기 김해 먹거리계획 수립에 앞서 민간의 전략 실행 기반과 역할을 모색하고자 마련됐다.
이 자리에는 김해시먹거리보장시민위원, 김해공유냉장고네트워크, 생산·소비단체 및 관련 중간지원조직 등 70여 명이 참석했다. 주요 내빈은 홍태용 김해시장, 허윤옥 김해시의회 부의장, 박봉성 김해시먹거리보장시민위원회 위원장이 함께해 먹거리 정책에 대한 시의 관심과 의지를 보여줬다.
포럼에는 정은미 한국농촌경제연구원 연구위원, 김한도 김해시농촌활성화지원센터장, 조규범 김해시 농식품유통과장이 발제자로 나서 먹거리 정책의 현황과 과제, 지역 실행 방안 등을 발표했다. 이어 김정란 김해시 농촌신활력플러스사업추진단장의 사회로 6명의 패널이 참여한 토론이 진행돼 다양한 현장의 목소리와 의견이 공유됐다.
이번 포럼은 농림축산식품부와 aT한국농수산식품유통공사의 지역먹거리계획 포럼 운영 지원사업으로 추진됐으며 김해시와 김해시먹거리보장시민위원회가 공동 주관했다.
김해시는 이번 포럼에서 논의된 내용을 바탕으로 제2기 김해 먹거리계획 수립에 시민의 다양한 의견을 반영하고 지역 먹거리 순환체계를 구축해 지속가능한 먹거리 정책을 추진할 방침이다.
한편 김해시는 2024년 농림축산식품부와 소비자시민모임의 전국 지자체 대상 지역먹거리 지수 평가에서 우수상을 수상했으며, 지역먹거리 지수 A등급으로 5년 연속 영남권 내 최고 등급을 받았다.

Gimhae City, Food Policy Forum… Strengthening Public-Private Cooperation
On the afternoon of the 26th, Gimhae City held the 2025 Gimhae City Food Policy Forum in the City Hall conference room with the theme of ‘Sustainable Gimhae City Food Future Created with Citizens.’

Based on the contents discussed at this forum, Gimhae City plans to reflect diverse opinions from citizens in establishing the 2nd Gimhae Food Plan and establish a local food circulation system to promote sustainable food policies.
Meanwhile, Gimhae City won an award of excellence in the 2024 local food index evaluation conducted by the Ministry of Agriculture, Food and Rural Affairs and the Consumers' Association of Korea, and received an A grade in the local food index, the highest grade in the Yeongnam region for five consecutive years.
