[브레이크뉴스=주윤한 기자] 거창군은 지난 3일 구인모 거창군수, 이재운 거창군의회 의장, 김일수·박주언 도의원, 군의원을 비롯한 지역 내 기관단체장과 주민 등 200여 명이 참석한 가운데 죽전 만당 공유쉼터 일원에서 죽전지구 도시재생사업 준공식을 개최했다고 4일 밝혔다.
죽전지구 도시재생사업은 지역 주민의 삶의 질 개선, 골목상권 회복, 공동체 재생을 목표로 추진된 사업으로, 2020년 11월 국토교통부 도시재생 뉴딜사업 공모에 선정되어 2021년부터 본격 추진됐다.
이번 사업을 통해 △죽전만당 도시재생 어울림센터 △마을상상호텔 ‘만당’ △만당 플레이파크 △만당메모리즈 지앤휴 △만당 돋움집 △만당 감성로 등 다양한 생활밀착형 거점시설 조성과 주거환경 개선사업, 공동체 활성화사업이 추진됐다.
이 중 주요 거점시설인 죽전만당 도시재생 어울림센터는 지하 1층, 지상 2층, 연 면적 511㎡ 규모로 조성됐으며, 1층에는 회의·교육·소모임 공간으로 활용되는 만당카페, 2층에는 지역아동센터, 지하에는 주차장이 설치되어 있다.
마을상상호텔 ‘만당’은 지상 1층 단층 구조에 객실 3개와 관리실을 갖추고 있으며, 죽전만당 마을관리사회적협동조합이 운영을 맡아 숙박 서비스와 지역 관광안내 기능을 수행할 예정이다.
