(브레이크뉴스인천 박상도 기자) 계양구가 지난 7월 6일 오전 9시 22분께, 경명대로 계양IC 인근 지하 차집관로 작업 현장에서 발생한 작업자 인명사고와 관련해 즉시 대응 체계를 가동, 구조기관과의 긴밀한 협조를 통해 구조 및 수색 작업을 총력 지원하고 있다고 밝혔다.
계양구에 따르면, 이날 사고는 인천환경공단이 시행 중인 ‘차집관로 지리정보시스템(GIS) 데이터베이스(DB) 구축 용역’ 작업 도중 발생했다.
작업자 2명이 차집관로 내부로 진입했다가, 원인 미상의 이유로 의식을 잃고 실종되어 1명은 심정지 상태로 구조되어 병원으로 긴급 후송됐으며, 나머지 1명은 현재까지도 수색이 진행 중이다.
계양구는 사고 발생 직후, 소방·경찰 등 유관기관과 함께 상황판단회의를 열고 구조 효율성을 높이기 위한 대응방안을 긴급 논의했고 이후 현장에는 재난현장통합지원본부를 설치해 인명 구조와 수색 작업을 지원하고 있다.
또한, 계양구는 구조 활동에 필요한 생수, 식사 등 물자도 적극 지원하고 있으며, 구조 완료 시까지 현장에 필요한 인적·물적 자원을 아끼지 않고 지원할 방침이다.
