(브레이크뉴스인천 박상도 기자) 인천시가 지난 5일 상상플랫폼에서 인천시와 (사)한국연극협회가 공동 주최하는‘제43회 대한민국연극제 인천’의 개막식을 시작으로, 7월 27일까지 23일간의 본격적인 연극 축제에 돌입했다고 밝혔다.
인천시에 따르면, 이날 개막식에는 유정복 인천시장을 비롯해 연극 애호가와 시민 등 1,500여 명의 관객이 상상플랫폼 객석을 가득 채우며 성황을 이뤘다.
이번 행사에 앞서 진행된 사전 퍼포먼스 ‘항구 사람들’에서는 유랑극단, 부두 노동자, 예술가 등으로 분장한 자원활동가와 연극인 110여 명이 참여해 항구도시 인천의 과거를 생생하게 재현했다.
이어 ‘희망의 땅, 인천’은 ‘황해도에서 인천으로, 어른에서 아이로’를 주제로, 은율탈춤보존회, 어린이 출연자, 육군 제17사단 군악대가 참여해 전쟁과 이주의 역사, 그리고 희망의 귀환을 상징하는 서사적 장면을 무대로 구현했다.
