충남 예산군 어린이·사회복지급식관리지원센터(센터장 이경애)는 관내 어린이급식소 및 사회복지시설을 대상으로 세계 각국의 전통 음식과 축제를 체험하는 특화 프로그램 ‘2025년 세계 음식 여행’을 추진했다고 7일 밝혔다.
이번 행사는 첫 번째 국가로 멕시코를 선정해 ‘올라! 멕시코’라는 주제로 다채로운 문화 활동을 선보였다.
이번 프로그램은 다양한 세대와 기관 이용자를 아우르는 참여형 체험 활동으로 구성됐다. 영유아는 보호자와 함께, 지역아동센터 어린이와 사회복지시설 이용자는 또래 친구들과 짝을 이루어 멕시코의 전통과 문화를 직접 경험했다.
참여자들은 멕시코의 대표 전통 모자인 ‘솜브레로’를 직접 만들어보며 의복 문화를 이해하고, 현지에서 축제 놀이로 즐기는 ‘피냐타’를 터뜨리는 활동을 통해 흥겨운 분위기를 만끽했다. 또한, 전통 음식 ‘부리또’를 직접 요리해보는 시간을 가지며 오감을 자극하는 음식 문화도 함께 체험했다.
