[브레이크뉴스 양주=김완영 기자] 한국아동문학의 거목 박화목 선생의 20주기 추모제가 지난 9일 양주시 봉양동 묘원에서 성황리에 개최되어, 양주시와 서울 서대문 문화촌 간 문화 교류의 새로운 장을 열었다.
이번 추모제는 한국콘텐츠관광협의회(회장 이규건 서정대학교 교수)와 서울박화목기념사업회(준비위원장 박근목)가 공동으로 진행됐다.
작년에 이어 두 번째로 열린 이번 추모제는 폭염 속에서도 양주 봉양동 묘원과 서울 서대문 홍제동 문화촌을 잇는 뜻깊은 행사로 진행되었다.
당초 1시간 내외로 계획되었던 묘지 참배는 참석자들의 뜨거운 열정과 헌신으로 뙤약볕 아래 1시간 30분 동안 이어지며 박화목 선생에 대한 깊은 추모의 마음을 보여주었다.
이날 추모제는 준비위원장 박근목 장로의 기도로 시작되어, 김남형 한국아동문학회 이사장의 추모사와 화환 및 헌화식이 진행되었으며, 고용석 서울시인협회 사무처장과 이현이 양주문인협회 시인의 시 낭송이 감동을 더했다.
김충근 선생의 아름다운 풀피리 연주와 이원표 양주문인협회장의 즉석 하모니카 반주는 현장의 분위기를 한층 고조시켰으며, 이부선 양주대표 가수의 선창으로 ‘과수원길’과 ‘보리밭’을 다 함께 부르며 추모의 의미를 되새겼다.

이 자리에서 김선태 한국아동문학회 상임고문은 1954년 창립한 한국아동문학회는 박화목 선생께서 13대~15대 회장을 역임하실 때 사무국장이었다며, 생전 회고담을 들려주며 홍제천이 흐르는 문화촌 입구에 삼나무와 라일락이 있던 자택 모습을 생생하게 묘사했다.
또한, 길형환 홍제3동 주민대표는 문화촌에서 인왕산을 오르는 산책길을 ‘박화목 명상의 길’로 조성할 계획임을 밝혀 기대를 모았고, 최광집 아동문학가는 "추모제에 참석하기 위해 강릉에서 한걸음에 달려 왔다"라며 열정을 보였다.
양주 측에서는 김종안 양주시민 대표가 양주-서울 문화촌 간의 뜻깊은 만남을 축하했으며, 박화목 묘원을 최초로 발견한 김용환 양주문화길잡이 대표는 그간의 경위를 설명하였다.
특히, 이번 추모제에서는 김남형 한국아동문학회 이사장께서, 양주와 서울기념사업회와 연대하여 3각 편대로 힘과 지혜를 모으자고 제안하면서, 작년 2024년에 발간된 ‘한국아동문학 70년사’ 3권을 기증해, 뜻깊은 순간도 있었다.
이에 화답으로 양주에서는 박화목 선생 100주년 기념우표 1세트씩을 증정하며 감사의 마음을 전했다..
