김해시 현안 국정과제 채택 집중 건의

[브레이크뉴스=양영석 기자] 새 정부 출범 이후 국정기획위원회가 꾸려진 가운데 홍태용 김해시장이 16일 국회와 국정기획위를 찾아 이재명 대통령이 지난 대선 기간 약속했던 김해 공약을 국정과제로 채택해 줄 것을 집중 건의했다. 

이날 건의한 현안은 ▲국가 스마트 물류 플랫폼 조성 ▲동남권 순환 광역철도 조기 착공 적극 추진 ▲친환경 김해트램 조기 착공 지원 ▲비음산 터널 연계 진례~밀양 고속도로 조기 착공 추진 ▲창원법원 김해지원 설치방안 모색 ▲김해 제1호 국가산단 유치 총 6건이다. 이 중 ▲김해 제1호 국가산단 유치는 이 대통령의 김해 공약에는 포함되지 않았지만 국가산단이 전무한 김해의 현실을 감안, 특별히 선별 추가했다. 

홍 시장은 먼저 국회를 찾아 민홍철, 김정호 두 지역 국회의원을 만나 오찬을 겸해, 김해 발전엔 여야가 따로 없다는 사실을 재확인하고 국정과제 채택을 위해 가용할 수 있는 모든 방안을 동원하기로 했다. 

특히 국가 스마트 물류 플랫폼 조성의 경우 새 정부의 북극항로 개척과 연계한 핵심 이슈인 만큼 김해가 해당 사업의 최적지임을 알려 나가면서 현재 계류 중인 양대 특별법(국제물류진흥지역의 지정 및 운영에 관한 특별법, 부산 글로벌 허브 도시 조성에 관한 특별법)의 조기 통과에도 행정력을 집중키로 했다. ‘국제물류진흥지역의 지정 및 운영에 관한 특별법’의 경우 민홍철 의원이 대표발의한 법안으로 법안 통과 시 김해가 트라이포트 기반의 유라시아 물류 플랫폼의 거점도시로 도약할 것으로 기대된다. 

국정기획위원회에선 국정기획분과 소속의 갈상돈 전문위원을 만났다. 국정과제 채택 필요성과 당위성을 중심으로 동남권에서 김해의 위상과 역할에 대한 폭넓은 이야기가 오갔다. 이 자리에서도 국가 스마트 물류 플랫폼 조성이 첫손으로 거론됐다. 홍 시장과 갈 위원은 ‘유라시아 물류 플랫폼’은 국가의 미래 먹거리를 담보할 수 있는 핵심 거점이자 김해가 상당 부분 중요한 역할을 할 수 있을 것이라는 데 인식을 같이 했다.
