충남 예산군이 오는 9월 26일부터 27일까지 양일간 ‘예산 국가유산 야행(부제: 내포에 찾아온 개화의 물결)’을 개최한다.
올해로 3회를 맞이하는 이번 행사는 예산읍 예산리 일대, 즉 예산 원도심을 무대로 펼쳐지며, 내포 지역의 개화기 정취를 간직한 장소들을 중심으로 다양한 야간 문화 콘텐츠가 운영될 예정이다.
행사 장소인 예산성당과 호서은행 건물은 각각 충청남도 기념물로 지정된 지역의 대표적 근대유산이다. 두 유산은 과거 내포 지역에 서구 문물이 처음 스며들던 시기의 상징으로, 이번 야행의 주 무대 역할을 맡는다.
예산군이 주최하고 한국문화유산연구센터가 주관하며, 국가유산청과 충청남도가 후원하는 이번 야행은 단순한 전시나 공연을 넘어 예산의 정체성을 담은 야간형 국가유산 체험 행사로 기획됐다. 특히 올해는 ‘문화재’라는 명칭이 ‘국가유산’으로 전환된 첫 해로, 정책 변화에 발맞춘 신규 프로그램도 선보일 예정이다.
