안학섭 선생 송환추진단측은 “안학섭 선생은 자신의 정치적 신념을 지키며 우리 민족의 자주와 평화, 통일을 위해 활동해왔다”면서 “96세 고령의 어르신이 얼마 남지 않은 생을 원하는 고향에서 보내도록 하는 것은 당연한 인도적 처사”라고 피력했다.

Graduated from Gilsang Elementary School in 1945.

Returned to Ganghwa Island in June 1950 to participate in Mincheong activities. Afterwards, he joined the retreating People’s Army and resumed Mincheong activities in Gaeseong.
