전북 익산시가 세계유산 등재 10주년을 맞아 백제유산의 과거와 미래를 연결한다.
익산시는 올해 '백제역사유적지구'의 유네스코 세계유산 등재 10주년을 기념해, 지난 10년간의 보존 및 활용 성과를 되돌아보고 향후 발전 방향을 모색하는 다양한 사업을 추진하고 있다고 17일 밝혔다.
백제역사유적지구는 2015년 독일 본에서 열린 제39차 세계유산위원회에서 대한민국의 12번째 세계유산으로 등재됐다.
익산시의 왕궁리유적과 미륵사지를 포함 공주ㆍ부여 지역의 주요 백제 유적이 연속유산 형태로 함께 지정됐다.
