'거점형 방과후 과정'은 인근 유치원 세 곳이 한 팀을 이뤄 중심유치원에서 방학 중 방과후 과정을 통합 운영하는 방식이다. 지난해에 이어 올해도 운영되며, 지난 만족도 조사에서 97.9%의 긍정적 평가를 받은 바 있다.
올해는 동부, 서부, 남부, 달성 등 4개 권역에서 총 12개 병설유치원이 참여한다. 중심유치원은 동인초, 학남초, 덕인초, 매곡초 병설유치원이다.
주요 운영 내용은 오전 8시부터 오후 7시까지 방과후 시간 확대, 특성화 프로그램 및 현장 체험활동, 또래 간 놀이 활성화, 점심·간식 제공, 통학버스 지원 등이다.
강은희 교육감은 "소규모 유치원 간 연계를 통해 방학 중 돌봄 공백이 생기지 않도록 꼼꼼히 지원하겠다"며 "유보통합에 발맞춰 교육과 보육의 질을 높이는 데 지속적으로 힘쓰겠다"고 밝혔다.
