【브레이크뉴스 대구】진예솔 기자=교육부와 시도교육청이 공동 주최하고 한국교육학술정보원(원장 정제영, 이하 케리스)이 주관한 ‘제7회 교육 공공데이터 분석활용대회’가 올해도 높은 관심 속에 마무리됐다.
올해는 전국에서 총 310건의 작품이 접수된 가운데, 엄정한 심사를 거쳐 총 61팀이 최종 수상작으로 선정됐다.
교육 공공데이터 분석활용대회는 교육 분야 공공데이터 개방과 활용을 활성화하고, 데이터 기반 문제 해결 역량과 창의적인 아이디어를 발굴하기 위해 2019년부터 매년 개최되어 올해로 7회를 맞이했다.
이번 대회는 ‘데이터분석’과 ‘상품·서비스’ 두 분야에서 학생과 일반 부문으로 나뉘어 진행됐다.
학생부문 데이터분석 분야 대상은 인천광역시교육청 소속 ‘INSITE’팀이 수상했다. 이 팀은 '공공데이터 기반 통학로 안전 지수 시각화 및 CCTV 최적 설치 알고리즘'을 통해 학생들의 실생활과 밀접한 통학로 안전 문제를 데이터로 분석하고, 시각화 및 알고리즘 최적화를 결합해 실질적인 개선 방안을 제시해 심사위원들의 높은 평가를 받았다.
일반부문 데이터분석 분야 대상은 ‘SATIMA’ 팀이 수상했다. 이들은 『지역별 사교육 현황 분석과 학습자원 최적화 모델』을 통해 사교육 밀집 지역과 학습자원 불균형 문제를 데이터 기반으로 정밀 분석하고, SHAP 기반 인사이트와 입지 최적화 모델을 제안해 정책 활용 가능성을 인정받았다.
상품·서비스 분야에서는 ‘쿠당탕탕’ 팀의 『발달장애 학생 맞춤형 콘텐츠 플랫폼 ‘말랑교실’』이 대상을 수상했다. 발달장애 학생을 위한 큐레이션 기반 맞춤형 학습 콘텐츠 플랫폼을 기획해 창의성과 실효성을 동시에 인정받았다.
수상자에게는 부총리 겸 교육부장관상, 시도교육감상, 한국교육학술정보원장상 등과 함께 주요 교육 유관기관의 상장도 수여된다. 이 가운데 우수작에는 교육 정책 반영 및 현장 적용을 위한 후속 컨설팅도 제공될 예정이다.
시상식은 오는 18일 오후 2시, 세종컨벤션센터 국제회의장에서 열리며, 김영곤 교육부 차관보, 정제영 케리스 원장, 시도교육청 관계자 등 150여 명이 참석할 예정이다.
정제영 케리스 원장은 “이번 대회는 학생과 일반 국민이 교육 데이터를 활용해 현장을 분석하고 실질적인 해법을 제시한 뜻깊은 사례”라며 “앞으로도 국민 누구나 교육 공공데이터를 통해 정책 설계와 교육혁신에 참여할 수 있도록 기회를 확대하고, 데이터 기반 교육정책 연계를 강화하겠다”고 밝혔다.

This team analyzed the safety issues of the school route based on public data and the optimal CCTV installation algorithm using data, and presented practical improvement measures by combining visualization and algorithm optimization, receiving high evaluations from the judges.
The ‘SATIMA’ team won the grand prize in the general data analysis category. They precisely analyzed the problems of dense private education areas and imbalanced learning resources based on data through ‘Analysis of the status of private education by region and learning resource optimization model’, and were recognized for their potential for policy utilization by proposing SHAP-based insights and location optimization models.
In the product/service category, the ‘Kudangtangtang’ team’s ‘Malang Classroom’, a customized content platform for students with developmental disabilities, won the grand prize. They planned a curation-based customized learning content platform for students with developmental disabilities, and were recognized for their creativity and effectiveness.
The winners will receive awards from the Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Education, the Provincial Superintendent of Education Award, the Korea Education and Research Information Service Director Award, and other awards from major education-related organizations. Outstanding works will also receive follow-up consulting for reflection in education policies and field application.
The awards ceremony will be held at the Sejong Convention Center International Conference Hall at 2 PM on the 18th, and approximately 150 people, including Vice Minister of Education Kim Young-gon, Director Jeong Je-young of Keris, and officials from provincial and metropolitan offices of education, are expected to attend.
Director Jeong Je-young of Keris said, “This competition is a meaningful case in which students and the general public used education data to analyze the field and suggest practical solutions,” and added, “We will continue to expand opportunities for anyone to participate in policy design and educational innovation through educational public data, and strengthen the linkage of data-based education policies.”
