세종시교육청, 특수교육대상학생 '생존수영 교육' 성료

세종특별자치시교육청(교육감 최교진)은 지난 19일, 한솔수영장에서 특수교육대상학생과 학부모가 함께하는 생존 수영 프로그램을 성황리에 마무리했다고 20일 밝혔다.

이번 프로그램은 여름철 빈번하게 발생하는 수상 안전사고에 대비해 특수교육대상학생들이 실제 위기 상황에서 스스로 생명을 보호할 수 있는 기본 역량을 기르도록 기획됐다. 특히 단순한 수영기술 습득을 넘어, 안전한 방학 생활을 위한 실질적 생존 기술 중심의 교육이 이뤄졌다는 점에서 의미를 더했다.

생존수영 활동에는 관내 특수학교 및 특수학급에 재학 중인 초·중등학생과 학부모 등 총 38명이 참여했다. 교육 내용은 장애 유형과 운동 능력을 고려해 체계적으로 구성됐으며, '저체온증을 예방하는 체온 유지 방법', '물에 뜨는 법', '단체로 함께 떠 있는 훈련', '드로우백(구명조끼 대체용 보조기구) 활용법' 등 실제 상황을 반영한 생존 중심의 실습이 진행됐다.
