이 입장문에서 “지난 2025년 7월 18일 세계평화통일가정연합(통일교)을 대상으로 ‘김건희와 명태균·건진법사 관련 국정농단 및 불법 선거 개입 사건 등 진상 규명을 위한 특검검사’팀이 진행한 압수수색에 대하여 가정연합 본부와 전 세계 194개국의 천만 신도는 강한 유감을 표명하는 바입니다. ‘김건희와 명태균·건진법사 관련 국정농단 및 불법 선거 개입 사건 등 진상 규명을 위한 특별검사’(이하 특검)팀이 가정연합을 압수수색하는 과정에서 비상식적인 일들이 벌어진 데 대해 매우 깊은 유감을 표명합니다”고 전제하고 “특검 수사팀은 지난 7월 18일 오전 7시 서울 용산구 ‘가정연합 한국협회’는 물론 경기도 가평 ‘천정궁’에 이르기까지 광범위한 압수수색을 실시했습니다. 천정궁은 세계적 기반의 종교 지도자가 계신 곳이며 전 세계 194개국 가정연합 천만 신도들이 숭앙하는 거룩한 성지로서 가정연합의 총본산입니다. 특검 수사팀은 이러한 성역의 존엄성을 충분히 인지했을 것임에도 불구하고 일부 검사와 수사관은 압수수색을 진행하면서 종교적 자유를 본질적으로 침해하였습니다. 국가 공권력의 행사는 어떠한 경우에도 헌법상 기본권을 침해하지 않는 범위에서 신중히 집행되어야 합니다”고 강조했다.
