◯…필자는 직업으로 기자(記者)-언론인(言論人)의 길을 선택했다. 지난 52년 간 신문사의 기자-편집국장-발행인으로 살았다. 이 기간 동안 뉴스-정보-칼럼-글들을 생산-보도했다. 이 과정에서 많은 인물들을 만난 게 사실이다. 또한 세계 여러 나라들을 방문, 취재하기도 했다. 언론사의 편집국장-발행인(대표)으로서 사업체를 이끌어 오기도 했다. 신문 산업으로 돈을 버는 일에 전념했다.
그런데, 기자-언론인도 하나의 직업에 해당할 뿐이다. 인공지능(AI) '뤼튼'은 한국인이 가진 직업의 수(數)를 16,891 가지(한국 표준 직업분류 기준)라고, 알려준다.
이처럼, 이 세상을 살아가는 사람들이 재능과 노력을 펼칠 수 있는 길에는 많은-다양한 길이 존재한다. 인공지능 시대에는 더 많은 직업이 만들어질 수 있을 것이다.

◯…한국의 운명상담가 중에서 고수로 통하는 '이래권 운명상담가'
기자를 일컬어 무관의 제왕이라고 한다. 계층을 따지지 않고, 만날 수 있다는 것 때문이다. 그런 직업이 또 있다. 운명상담가라는 독특한 직업이다. 우리나라에는 사람의 운명을 예언해주면서 살아가는 분들이 많다. 지난 7월24일 저녁에는 이래권 작가(운명상담가)와 저녁을 함께 했다. 이 분은 35여 년 가까이 운명상담가로 활동해왔다. 필자는 이 분과 지난 2012년부터 인연을 맺어왔다. 이때부터 필자가 발행인으로 있는 브레이크뉴스에 칼럼을 기고(총 629 칼럼 게재)했다. 그간 필명(筆名)도 날렸다.
