충청남도교육청(교육감 김지철)이 26일 천안 라마다앙코르바이원덤 호텔에서 열린 초록우산 아이리더 꿈 응원 행사 ‘우리가 함께 이루는 꿈’에 참여해, 미래를 향해 나아가는 아이리더 학생들에게 따뜻한 격려를 전했다.
이번 행사는 충남교육청과 초록우산 어린이재단 충남지역본부가 공동으로 주관한 인재양성 프로그램의 일환으로, 올해 새롭게 선발된 아이리더 학생들과 그 가족, 선배 아이리더, 후원자 및 지역사회 관계자 등 100여 명이 참석했다.
‘초록우산 아이리더’는 학업, 예술, 체육 등 다양한 분야에서 잠재력을 지닌 아동·청소년이 경제적 제약으로 인해 꿈을 포기하지 않도록 지원하는 인재육성 사업이다. 충남교육청과 초록우산 어린이재단은 지난 3년간(2022~2024년) 총 129명의 충남 아이리더들에게 약 8억 2천8백만 원의 장학금을 지원해 왔다.
올해 행사에서는 아이리더로 처음 선발된 학생들에게 장학증서가 수여됐고, 기존 선배 아이리더들과의 소통을 위한 토크콘서트, 축하 공연 등이 마련되어 참여자들 간의 유대감과 소속감을 높였다. 특히, 세대를 넘는 아이리더 간의 경험 공유는 후배들에게 진로에 대한 동기를 심어주는 의미 있는 시간으로 채워졌다.
이날 행사에 참석한 김경호 충남교육청 교육국장은 “경제적 형편 때문에 아이들이 꿈을 포기하지 않도록 해주시는 초록우산 어린이재단 관계자 여러분의 헌신에 깊이 감사드린다”며, “앞으로도 충남교육청은 단 한 명의 학생도 소외되지 않고 꿈을 향해 나아갈 수 있도록 든든한 교육적 기반을 함께 만들어가겠다”고 말했다.
