한설 예비역 장군(육군 소장)은 7월29일 인터넷 저널인 페이스북에 “수순이 틀린 대외정책, 이재명 정권의 안위가 문제가 될 가능” 제목의 글을 게재했다. 이 글에서 “지금 이재명 정권은 집권기간 동안 무엇을 잘해볼 것인가를 생각하기보다 어떻게 해야 권력을 정상적으로 유지할 수 있을 것인가를 고민해야 하는 시점에 들어가 있다고 하겠다”라고 주장했다. 그는 미국이 조선(북한)의 핵 보유를 인정하고 김정은과 대화할 것이라 피력했다.

한설 예비역 장군은 “이재명 정권이 미국과의 관세협상에 앞서 조선과의 관계개선을 통한 안보적 부담 완화를 추진해야 하며, 이를 바탕으로 미국과 협상에 나서야 한다고 생각했고 그런 내용의 글을 올렸었다. 바둑에 수순이 있듯이 국제정치, 그리고 남북관계와 한미관계에도 수순이 있는 법이다. 이재명 정권은 수순이 틀린 바둑을 둔 것”이라고 덧붙였다.
