【브레이크뉴스 대구】진예솔 기자=대구 동구의회 저출산·고령사회 대책 특별위원회가 한국출산장려진흥회 중앙회와 저출산 극복을 위한 업무협약을 맺었다.
협약식에는 김영화 위원장을 비롯해 주형숙 부위원장, 박종봉·김은옥·이진욱 위원, 최건 의원 등 특별위원회 위원들과 한국출산장려진흥회 중앙회 주요 임원들이 참석했다.
지난 29일 체결된 이번 협약으로 지역 차원의 출산 장려 활동이 탄력을 받을 것으로 기대된다.
협약은 저출산 문제에 대한 공동 대응과 지속가능한 지역사회 조성을 위한 협력 기반을 마련하자는 취지에서 추진됐다.
이에 따라 양 기관은 향후 출산 친화적 환경 조성과 인식 개선을 위한 다양한 활동을 함께 전개할 예정이다.
협약은 저출산 극복과 복지 향상을 위한 협력 관계 유지, 관련 교육 및 세미나 개최 협력, 캠페인과 홍보 활동 공동 추진, 기타 상호 발전과 우호 증진을 위한 사항 협의 등을 주요골자로 한다.
이를 바탕으로 양기관은 정책적·사회적 대응 방안을 마련하고, 주민 참여형 프로그램과 홍보 활동도 강화해 나갈 방침이다.
김영화 위원장은 "저출산 문제는 이제 국가 차원을 넘어 지역이 함께 풀어야 할 과제"라며 "이번 협약을 계기로 동구의회와 한국출산장려진흥회가 출산 친화 환경 조성에 더 적극적으로 나서겠다"고 말했다.
