[브레이크뉴스=양영석 기자] 김해시와 김해의생명․산업진흥원은 지난 28일부터 8월 1일까지 캐나다 몬트리올에서 열리는 ‘2025 한국-캐나다 과학기술 컨퍼런스(Canada-Korea Conference on Science and Technology, 이하 CKC)’에 참석했다.
CKC는 한국과 캐나다 간의 과학기술 협력 증진을 위한 대표적인 국제 컨퍼런스로, 캐나다와 북미 지역의 과학기술자와 연구기관 관계자, 재외동포 과학기술인뿐만 아니라 국내 산학연 관계자 등 다양한 과학기술 주체들이 한자리에 모이는 행사이다.
이처럼 컨퍼런스는 과학기술자, 정부 관계자, 기업인, 차세대 학생들이 교류하며 지식을 공유하고 공동연구 주제를 발굴할 수 있는 중요한 플랫폼 역할을 수행하고 있다.

김해시 관계자는 “이번 2025 CKC 참석은 선진 첨단기술과 시설을 벤치마킹하고 세계 과학기술계와의 네트워크를 넓혀 국제 공동연구 기반을 마련하는 의미가 있다”며 “지역기업의 글로벌 성장을 위해 국내외 과학기술 네트워크를 지속적으로 확대해 나가겠다”고 밝혔다.
