브레이크뉴스 정명훈 기자= 도널드 트럼프 미국 대통령이 30일(현지시간) 한국과의 상호관세 합의를 체결한다고 발표했다.
트럼프 대통령은 이날 소셜미디어(SNS) 트루스소셜을 통해 "미국은 한국과 완전하고 포괄적인 무역합의에 도달했다는 것을 발표하게 돼 기쁘다"고 밝혔다.
트럼프 대통령은 오는 8월 1일부터 한국에 부과할 상호관세 25%에서 10%p를 인하해 15%로 합의해주는 대신 수백조원 규모의 투자를 약속받았다고 공개했다.
이어 "이번 합의에 따라 한국은 미국이 소유하고 통제하며, 제가 대통령으로 직접 선택한 투자처에 3500억달러(약 487조원)를 투자할 것이다"며 "또한 한국은 1000억달러(139조원) 규모의 액화천연가스(LNG) 또는 기타 에너지 제품을 구매하고, 한국이 추가로 투자 목적으로 대규모 자금을 투자하기로 합의했다"고 설명했다.
그는 "한국은 미국과의 무역에 완전히 개방하기로 동의했고 자동차와 트럭, 농산물 등등 미국산 제품을 받아들일 것이다"며 "우리는 한국에 대한 15% 관세율에 동의했다"고 전했다.
또한 상호관세 체결은 이재명 대통령과의 정상회담 자리에서 발표될 것이라고 했다. 트럼프 대통령은 "이러한 금액은 향후 2주 내에 한국의 이재명 대통령이 양자회담을 위해 백악관을 방문할 때 발표될 것이다"며 "새로운 대통령의 선거 승리를 축하드린다"고 적었다.
아울러 트럼프 대통령은 "미국은 (한국 수출에서) 관세를 부과받지 않을 것이다"라며 "오늘 참석해준 무역 대표단에 감사하다. 그들을 만나고 그들 국가의 위대한 성공에 대해 얘기할 수 있어서 영광이었다"고 덧붙였다.

President Trump: "Agreement on 15% tariffs with South Korea... Announcement during bilateral meeting with President Lee"
US President Donald Trump announced on the 30th (local time) that he had reached a reciprocal tariff agreement with South Korea.
President Trump announced on the same day via social media platform Truth Social, "I am pleased to announce that the United States has reached a complete and comprehensive trade agreement with South Korea."

He also said the reciprocal tariff agreement would be announced during his summit with President Lee Jae-myung. President Trump wrote, "These figures will be announced when South Korean President Lee Jae-myung visits the White House for a bilateral meeting in the next two weeks. I congratulate the new President on his election victory."
President Trump also said, "The United States will not face tariffs (on South Korean exports). I thank the trade delegation for coming today. It was an honor to meet them and talk about their country's great success."
