【브레이크뉴스 경북】진예솔 기자=경북교육청이 4일부터 오는 8일까지 경주시 내 초등학교 2곳에서 대구교육대학교와 함께 '예비교사와 함께하는 교육희망캠프'를 운영한다고 밝혔다.
이 캠프는 2014년부터 농산어촌 지역 학생들에게 예체능 중심 체험활동을 제공해 감수성과 창의력을 키우고, 예비교사에게는 교육기부와 현장 적응 기회를 주기 위해 시작됐다.
대구교대 지도교수와 재학생 등 멘토 30명이 참여해 학생 90명을 대상으로 5일간 프로그램을 진행한다. 매일 오전 4시간씩 음악·미술·체육 분야에서 총 12개 활동이 펼쳐진다.
학생들은 저·중·고학년으로 나뉘어 6개 반에서 활동한다. 음악은 붐웨커 연주와 악기 만들기, 난타로 협동심을 기르고, 미술은 건축 디자인과 전통 놀이, 손 모형 만들기로 감성을 키운다. 체육은 구기 운동과 점프밴드, 플라잉디스크를 통해 자기 표현력과 사회성을 높인다.
한 예비교사는 "이론으로만 배운 교육을 실제 현장에서 적용하며 시행착오도 겪었지만, 학생들의 반응을 보며 교사로서의 보람을 느꼈다"고 말했다.
임종식 경북교육감은 "농어촌과 교육 소외 지역 학생들을 위한 맞춤형 프로그램"이라며 "교육취약계층의 자존감과 학습 동기를 높이는 정책을 지속 확대하겠다"고 강조했다.

Gyeongbuk Superintendent of Education Lim Jong-sik emphasized, "This is a customized program for students in rural and educationally underserved areas," and added, "We will continue to expand policies that boost self-esteem and motivation for learning among educationally vulnerable groups."
