[브레이크뉴스=황민성 기자] 밀양의 ‘맵고 뜨거운’ 이미지를 활용해 ‘Hot Miryang’이라는 새로운 관광브랜드로 ‘핫 밀양 푸드 페스타’ 매운 음식 축제가 삼문동 밀양강변 일원에서 펼쳐진다.
밀양문화관광재단이 지역관광추진조직 육성지원사업(이하 DMO)의 하나로 오는 8일부터 10일까지 3일간 관광객을 맞이한다.
이번 행사는 삼양식품의 불닭볶음면, 무안면 맛나고추, 밀양돼지국밥, 햇살문화도시 등 밀양의 ‘맵고 뜨거운’ 이미지를 선보인다.
특히 DMO 사업을 통해 발굴된 ‘Hot한 가게’ 5곳이 행사에 참여해 각 매장에서 개발한 매운맛 레시피 메뉴를 현장에서 선보인다.
대표 메뉴는 △루빵 아이스샌드 △불고기 제육덮밥 △핫한 김밥 △매운 수제 떡갈비 △불닭볶음면 지엔빙 등이다.
삼양식품은 ‘불닭볶음면’ 테마관으로 참여하며, 처갓집양념치킨의 청양고추치킨, 리몬체의 하이볼 등도 함께 즐길 수 있다.
이와 함께 △불닭볶음면 빨리 먹기대회 △‘Hot한 가게’스탬프투어 등 관광객 참여형 이벤트도 다채롭게 마련돼 축제의 재미를 더할 예정이다.
또한 축제 기간 중 행사장 일원에서는 △밀양 물축제 △여름스포츠 한마당 △힙합&트롯 아리랑 콘테스트 등 밀양 수(水)퍼 페스티벌이 동시에 열려, 여름철 체류형 관광 활성화에 기여할 것으로 기대된다.
