[브레이크뉴스 양주=김완영 기자] 양주시가 산업단지 외 공업지역의 체계적인 관리와 활성화 방향을 제시하기 위한「2030 양주 공업지역기본계획」을 수립·확정했다.
「2030 양주 공업지역기본계획」은 「도시 공업지역의 관리 및 활성화에 관한 특별법」제정 및 시행에 따른 법정계획으로 산업단지를 제외한 관내 공업지역 25개소, 약 2.54㎢를 대상으로 하고 있다.
시는 지난 2022년 11월 용역 착수를 시작으로 ▲공업지역 산업현황 및 특성 분석 ▲주민공청회 개최 ▲양주시의회 의결 ▲도시계획위원회 심의 등 관련 절차를 거쳐 이번 계획을 확정했다.
이 계획에는 공업지역별 관리유형 설정, 건축물 권장용도, 지원 기반시설 확보, 환경관리 방안 등을 종합적으로 담았다.
특히, 산업혁신형·산업정비형·산업관리형·별도관리형·일반관리형 등 5가지 세부 관리유형으로 구분해 지역 특성에 맞는 체계적 관리가 가능하도록 했다.
강수현 양주시장은 “이번 「2030 양주 공업지역기본계획」은 향후 공업지역정비구역 설정과 세부 실행계획 수립의 기초자료로 활용될 것”이라며, “낙후된 공업지역을 정비하고 산업 경쟁력을 높여 양주시 경제 발전에 기여하도록 최선을 다하겠다”고 말했다.
