한국은 인터넷 선진(先進)국가이다. 이에 따라, K-매스컴(한국 언론의 뉴스 종합정보)의 원천정보가 정부의 지원에 의해, 한 군데로 취합되고, 이 뉴스-정보들이 국가 발전에 이용되게 하는 시대가 열리고 있다.
과기부(과학기술정보통신부)-한국지능정보사회진흥원-한국데이터산업진흥원-한국언론진흥재단 등이 구축중인 '독자 AI 파운데이션 모델 프로젝트 데이터 구축사업'이다. 117개 언론사가 이 사업에 참여, K-매스컴 AI 모델이 구축된다. 9월 중이면, 이 사업이 구체화 된다고 한다.
과기부는 독자 AI 파운데이션 모델 프로젝트 데이터 공급기관을 모집했다. 세계적인 수준의 한국형 독자 AI 파운데이션 모델 구축이 목적이라고 한다. 이 사업을 추진할 기관에 ▲네이버클라우드, ▲업스테이지, ▲SK텔레콤, ▲엔씨 AI, ▲LG경영개발원 AI연구원이 선정됐다.
한국의 주요 매체들이 생산한 뉴스-정보들이 한 군데로 취합되고, 집합된 뉴스를 생성형 인공지능(AI)을 통해 자유로이 이용하게 된다. 생산된 뉴스-정보가 바로바로 국력증진에 원용되게 된다. 물론 다수(多數) 인터넷 매체들의 경영에도 도움이 될 수 있을 것이다.

The 'Reader AI Foundation Model Project Data Construction Project' is currently being developed by the Ministry of Science and ICT (MSIT), the Korea Intelligence Information Society Agency, the Korea Data Industry Promotion Agency, and the Korea Press Foundation. 117 media companies are participating in this project, which will build a K-Mass Media AI model. The project is expected to be finalized in September.
The MSIT has recruited data providers for the Reader AI Foundation Model Project. The goal is to build a world-class, Korean-style, independent AI foundation model. Naver Cloud, Upstage, SK Telecom, NC AI, and the LG Management Development Institute AI Research Center have been selected as the organizations to drive this project.
