'2025 김제 국가유산 야행'이 오는 9월 5일부터 7일까지 국가 사적지이자 조선시대 공직자의 집무 공간이었던 김제관아와 향교ㆍ전통시장 일원에서 개최된다.
전북 김제시는 올해로 7년 연속 국가유산청 공모사업에 선정된 '김제 국가유산 야행'은 조선시대 행정기관(관아)과 교육기관(향교)을 무대로 한 야간 역사 문화 프로그램으로 열린다고 26일 밝혔다.
올해 야행은 체험 중심의 프로그램이 대폭 강화됐다.
특히 지난해 인기를 모았던 '조선시대 신분체험 = 웰컴투조선'을 한층 알차게 구성해 관람객이 직접 양반ㆍ상민ㆍ천민 등으로 변신해 당시 생활 문화를 체험할 수 있다.
새롭게 선보이는 '조선귀담'은 김제 관아에서 진행된다.
억울하게 죽은 망령의 전설을 모티브로 전통 건물 속에서 오싹한 긴장감을 느낄 수 있는 특별 프로그램으로 관람객들의 호기심을 자극할 예정이다.
김제 전통시장에서는 시장 상인과 청년단체가 직접 참여해 전통 먹거리와 다양한 메뉴를 선보이며 지역경제 활성화와 방문객 만족을 동시에 이끌어 낼 '100년 먹거리 장터'가 운영된다.
